Change your Shoes. On Yom Kippur we do not wear leather shoes, so put on your canvas or plastic sneakers or sandals! (Compare skin head and plastic head drums).

Tomorrow night begins Yom Kippur
On the afternoon before Yom Kippur, tomorrow, eat a festive meal with your family. Light Candles with special blessings
Grown ups do not eat, that is called fasting.
So that their minds will be clear for thinking and praying
Kids should not have sweets and candy, as Yom Kippur is a very serious day.
On Yom Kippur we say "I'm sorry!" and try to find ways to become better people
At the end of the day, the whole congregation recites the Shema and a few other verses out loud together, then the shofar is sounded for one long blast. After that we say: "Next Year in Jerusalem." We then recite the evening services and the fast is over.
